HCS/HB 2204 – This act modifies provisions relating to the Public School Retirement System of Missouri and the Public Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri. A retired member who elected to receive a reduced retirement allowance with a spouse as the nominated beneficiary may nominate a successor beneficiary if the marriage of the retired member and the nominated beneficiary is dissolved after the effective date of this act and the divorce decree provides for sole retention of the retirement allowance. In addition, the retired member's retirement allowance will be increased to the amount the member would have received had the member elected an unreduced retirement option. MICHAEL RUFF |
