FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Department of Economic Development - Tourism Division assume no fiscal impact to their department.

Oversight sent the City of Sugar Creek a response request; however, they have not responded.

Oversight assumes this proposal is permissive. Fiscal impact would not be realized without action by the local governing body and with voter approval. Oversight assumes this proposal as written does not require that a transient guest tax be imposed, therefore, Oversight will show fiscal impact as $0.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal. If the City of Sugar Creek were to seek and receive voter approval to impose a transient guest tax, small businesses in the sleeping rooms business as defined in this proposal could expect to collect and administer the tax.

FISCAL DESCRIPTION

The proposed legislation appears to have no fiscal impact.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
