FISCAL ANALYSIS
ASSUMPTION
In response to identical legislation of this session, fiscal note 3318-01, SB 801, the Kansas City Police Department officials made the following fiscal impact statement:
Officials of the Kansas City Police Department stated this proposal increases the current statutory maximum pay for Kansas City Police Officers but has no fiscal impact since it does not require that pay actually be increased; it merely provides the opportunity to raise future salaries.
Oversight assumes no state fiscal impact. Oversight assumes this proposal as written is permissive and would only have fiscal impact if the local Board would choose to increase salaries of officers. Oversight assumes no local fiscal impact.
