FISCAL ANALYSIS


ASSUMPTION


Officials at the Department of Higher Education assume that there is no fiscal impact from this proposal.


Officials at the Linn State Technical College, Metropolitan Community College, Lincoln University and the Missouri Senate assume that there is no fiscal impact from this proposal for their respective institutions.


Officials at the University of Missouri (UM) assume minimal additional administrative costs to fulfill the requirements of this proposal.


Officials at the Missouri State University assume a loss of $16,000 to $32,000 per year if schools do not have the ability to admit them as international students in compliance with all SEVIS rules. Extent of documentation required would result in costs.


Oversight assumes that the costs associated with this proposal will be paid out of the College or Universities' normal operating expenses and that there is no fiscal impact to General Revenue. Additionally, Oversight assumes that the Colleges and Universities will raise their fees to cover the costs of the additional requirements outlined in this proposal
