FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Office of the State Courts Administrator, Office of the State Public Defender, Department of Transportation, Department of Corrections and the Department of Public Safety - Director’s Office and Highway Patrol each assume the proposal would not fiscally impact their respective agencies.

Officials from the Office of Prosecution Services (OPS) assume this proposal would not have a significant direct fiscal impact on county prosecutors or the OPS. There may be a small increase in the number of tickets for traffic violations referred to prosecutors for prosecution; however it is assumed any additional increase can be handled at no additional costs to local prosecutor's offices.
